In a new location for 2019, Network Virtualization & SDN Americas, powered by LightReading, will focus on strategies to monetize, automate, and streamline the virtualized ecosystem. Analysts and industry experts will address transformations in cloud adoption, edge computing, SD-WAN, service assurance, cybersecurity, business services, and more.

Deploying virtualized network functions is faster and doesn’t require in-person visits with NFV. Learn all the benefits of it on our blog post The Importance of NFV.

Software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) give unprecedented flexibility in network architecture. They are of special value to service providers as they free administrators from the need for a large amount of dedicated hardware. The topology can change as needed, with everything managed from a central console or automated through an API. Routers, switches, and firewalls run on generic hardware.

Place and Time

The event will take place in Dallas, Texas, at the Dallas Marriot Las Colinas, from September 17-19, 2019.

Before You Go

There will be no time to stop and pause once you arrive at the Conference, so check out these tips before you get there:

  • Conference agenda: What would you like to learn at Virtualization & SDN Americas? Use the program to organize your day and make sure you attend conference-wide events like keynote addresses. As you already know, the conference offers an unprecedented opportunity to hear about the challenges of real-world implementations of NFV and SDN technologies driving SDN technologies in the era of cloud and edge.
  • Featured Speakers: The people you’ll hear there are as important as the sessions themselves. Here’s a short list of the main speakers that you can meet at the conference:

    • Steve Marsh, CTO, North America, Intraway. Steve will participate in a session panel that will discuss the transformation to automated networking on Sep 19 at 11:30 AM. This series of lightning talks will explore the adoption of NETCONF/YANG to automate device configuration, the use of telemetry to automate network monitoring, intent/policy and service assurance to implement closed-loop automation and artificial intelligence to enable adaptive and predictive automation.
    • Mireille Helou, CEO, Orange Silicon Valley
    • Lisa Partridge, Director, Data/ Video/ Voice Product Marketing, CenturyLink
    • David Hughes, VP, IP Engineering, PCCW Global
    • Christina Cheng, Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Mobility AT&T Business
    • Bill Walker, Senior Director, Strategy & Advancement, CenturyLink
    • Ari Blau, Director, Product Management – Network and Transformation, Bell Canada
    • Hans Raj Nahata, Director of Technology Architecture, Verizon
    • Mike Benjamin, Senior Director, Threat Research CenturyLink
    • Sanjay Srinivasan, VP & Chief Architect, Vonage
    • John Isch, Practice Director – Network & Voice Centre of Excellence, Orange Business Services

What’s New?

  • HIGH-QUALITY CONTENT: The agenda will be covering a range of hot topics, including network orchestration, business services, edge computing, cloud-native, SD-WAN, and 5G.
  • ANALYST INSIGHTS: This year, you will have access to exclusive content from Heavy Reading analysts, who will be sharing premium content pieces and giving their insights into the state of NFV and SDN.
  • 10+ HOURS OF NETWORKING: Meet and network with a room full of senior-level delegates from America’s leading operators in an intimate setting. There’s no risk of you getting lost in the crowd – make meaningful connections that matter.
  • EXCITING EXHIBITION FLOOR: Attracting top NFV and SDN innovators, this year’s event will give you a chance to explore the very best solutions on offer.

Intraway at Virtualization & SDN Americas 2019

Come by our table to connect with our experts and learn more about Intraway’s intelligent automation solutions.

At Virtualization & SDN Americas 2019, Intraway will showcase SIM (Symphonica Infrastructure Management), an integrated solution that allows the MSO to manage the life cycle of the Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) devices in a cable network, targeting the control and automation of fulfillment, maintenance, and assurance processes.

The solution enables bottom-up provisioning, including validation of installation parameters, and generation of a birth certificate for the RPDs. It also supports design-time and run-time to the engineering group during migration to DAA. SIM has been designed to help MSOs reduce the time to implement & manage the configuration of a distributed architecture by +40% and minimize human error during the design process.

After the Conference

There is plenty to do and see in Dallas. Here are some must-see places for you to visit while enjoying your stay:

  • Fearing’s Restaurant: It is an absolute must-visit spot for all food-fans, set within the stylish Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
  • Texas Horse Park: With riding lessons, trail rides and hippotherapy, the Texas Horse Park is a tribute to Texas’s equestrian history.
  • Round Up Saloon: This glitzy saloon offers popular line-dancing lessons nearly every night of the week, so get ready for box-steps and partner-swinging.
